JUNIOR ASSOCIATE
Prior to joining the firm, Josiah has worked at the National Economic and Development Authority and participated in various projects aimed at uplifting the economic status of marginalized groups in the agriculture sector. His background in public service instilled in him a deep sense of social responsibility, which he brings and integrates to his work in the private sector.
He is currently working on matters related to labor law, criminal law, and litigation. As a new associate, he is keen in gaining experience from other areas of law and in contributing to the Firm’s success in any way possible. He is a quick learner, a creative problem-solver, and a team player, who looks forward to working with the Firm’s clients to achieve their respective legal objectives.

Q&A
Why do you read for leisure when the profession already requires extensive hours spent reading?
Reading for leisure offers a unique appeal and sense of ease that is not present when reading for legal work. Whether it’s a work of fiction or non-fiction, books have the ability to introduce new ideas and viewpoints and broaden one’s understanding of the world. Personally, I find great joy in immersing myself in various reading materials and exploring new literary landscapes. It’s a privilege to have a passion for reading that can be both a source of enjoyment and a valuable asset in my academic and professional pursuits.
How has your interest in reading helped you through law school and practice?
My passion for reading has proven to be beneficial in both my law school experience and my legal practice. I have come to appreciate that the way a narrative is presented is just as significant as the content of the story itself.
When I was in law school, I took pride in creating comprehensive and engaging review materials for my classmates. It was gratifying to simplify complex topics, make difficult concepts more accessible, and transform dull subjects into something more captivating. Through my love of reading, I learned that to deliver well-structured, thorough, and compelling solutions to intricate issues, one must also consider the audience’s perspective. This mindset has enabled me to assist my fellow students in the legal field and has also proved to be helpful in offering solutions to my clients.
