A champion futboler, Philippine Bar Examination topnotcher, published author, and well-respected law professor, Mickey has always been a high achiever in all of his pursuits. Whether it be in a boardroom or football field, Mickey’s tenacity, passion, and innovativeness have enabled him to win the respect of his peers and clients. He uses this well-rounded approach at the workplace as well, as he imparts comprehensive and practical legal guidance in the fields of tax advisory, corporate restructuring, estate planning, and administrative tax cases with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

As a legal expert, Mickey has always understood the value of knowledge exchange, and sits as a member of the faculty of one of the top law schools in the country where he teaches Taxation and Constitution Law. He has written several titles on Philippine Tax Laws, and Sports Law, and is also part of the LawInSport Editorial Board. Aside from his expertise in Taxation and Sports Law, Mickey is also one of the pioneers of Artificial Intelligence Law and Robots Law in the Philippines.

His passion for law is not limited within the confines of the Philippines. Mickey is a licensed attorney in the State of New York and has written on various legal topics for law journals both in the United States and in the Philippines.
