Q&A

What made you decide that you want to become a lawyer?

I grew up in a family where I can freely speak my mind. My parents would often encourage me to assert my beliefs and to stand my ground. They would also often challenge me by engaging in healthy debates during dinner. I think this helped me hone my skill in arguing and listening—skills which I think are good to have in a lawyer. Although my parents never forced me to take up law, they might have inadvertently encouraged me to gravitate towards the law practice with how they raised me.

What do you like to do during your spare time?

I love to travel. For me, travelling entails taking risks and pushing personal boundaries. Travelling helps me keep an open mind and see the bigger picture. This mindset helps me in my practice to see every facet of an issue. Travelling also taught me to interact with different kinds of people which I believe is an important skill to have in the legal profession.
